Presenting the Ice Age Martini,

in two versions.

“Ice Age” because our Icebound Ice Age Vodka uses water from the Laurentian Ice Shelf. Derived from ancient glaciers and deep aquifers, water sourced form this region is considered among the world’s purest because it has been naturally filtered through layers of rock and sediment over millennia, minimizing exposure to modern pollutants.

This water is often classified as "fossil water," meaning it has been trapped underground or within glacial ice for thousands of years. This ancient water has not been part of the recent hydrological cycle, ensuring its purity and unique character which contribute to a crisp, clean, and refreshing taste.

So, the two Ice Age Martini versions: Fresh Water and Salt Water:

The Icebound Ice Age Martini

Fresh Water version:

Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ ounces Icebound Vodka

  • ½ ounce dry vermouth (adjust to taste)

  • Ice (for chilling)

  • Garnish: Lemon twist or green olives (your preference)

Instructions:

  1. Chill the Glass:

    • Place a martini glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water while you prepare the drink.

  2. Combine Ingredients:

    • In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, add the vodka and dry vermouth.

  3. Stir or Shake:

    • Add ice and stir for about 30 seconds for a silky, smooth drink. Alternatively, shake for 15 seconds if you prefer a slightly frothy texture.

  4. Strain and Serve:

    • Discard the ice from the martini glass and strain the mixture into the chilled glass.

  5. Garnish:

    • For a citrusy twist, add a lemon peel twist. If you prefer savory, garnish with 1-3 green olives on a cocktail pick.

Tips for the Best Vodka Martini:

  • Adjust the Vermouth: If you like a dry martini, reduce the vermouth. For an "extra dry" martini, use just a few drops.

The Icebound Ice Age

Dirty Martini

Salt Water Version:

(Not really salt water but because it has a touch of brine from the Ancient Olive Trees olive juice.)

Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ ounces Icebound Ice Age vodka

  • ½ ounce dry vermouth (adjust to taste)

  • ½ - 1 ounce Ancient Olive Trees olive brine (depending on how "dirty" you like it)

  • Ice (for shaking or stirring)

  • Garnish: 2-3 green olives (optional: stuffed with blue cheese or garlic)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Your Glass:

    • Chill a martini glass by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice water while you prepare the drink.

  2. Mix the Cocktail:

    • In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, combine vodka, dry vermouth, and olive brine.

  3. Stir or Shake:

    • Add ice and stir for about 30 seconds for a smoother texture. Alternatively, shake for 15 seconds if you prefer a slightly frothy martini.

  4. Strain and Serve:

    • Discard the ice from the martini glass and strain the mixture into the chilled glass.

  5. Garnish:

    • Thread olives onto a cocktail pick and place them in the glass. Enjoy!

Tips for the Best Dirty Martini:

  • Experiment with Brine: Adjust the amount of olive brine to match your preferred level of savoriness.
